New Event Announced for LOVELOUD 2024 Tour

August 9, 2024

On June 10, 2024 in New York City at the Gramercy Theatre, AT&T presented An Evening with LOVELOUD. The event was a vibrant celebration of unity and acceptance in the heart of the big apple, and featured emotional and inspiring performances by Mykal Kilgore, and by LOVELOUD co-founders, Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Tyler Glenn of Neon Trees.

Founded in 2017, LOVELOUD has grown from a grassroots movement into a nationwide phenomenon dedicated to promoting love, acceptance, and support for LGBTQ+ youth. This year’s event in New York City was a spectacular convergence of music, activism, and community spirit. Held at the iconic Gramercy Theatre, the event drew several hundred attendees from all walks of life united by a shared commitment to fostering a more inclusive and compassionate world. The crowd erupted in cheers and tears during performances that underscored the festival’s mission to support LGBTQ+ youth. Families, friends, and individuals mingled, shared stories, and celebrated their authentic selves. Guests texted a special code to unlock donations from AT&T to LOVELOUD raising nearly $5,000. The festival not only entertained but also inspired attendees to continue advocating for change and supporting those in need. In the words of one attendee, “LOVELOUD is a reminder that we are not alone in this journey. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels loved and accepted for who they are.”

This is the second year that LOVELOUD is holding events outside of Salt Lake City and into communities across the country. The 2023 LOVELOUD Tour reached audiences in Austin, Texas and Washington, D.C., the nations capitol. This year, the significance of hosting LOVELOUD in New York City cannot be overstated.

As a city that has long been at the forefront of the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, New York provided a fitting backdrop for this first of three celebrations of love and acceptance happening in 2024.
